Dr. Yamasaki was born in Topaz, Utah, but has spent most of his life in San Jose.  He attended Jefferson Elementary School, Peter Burnett Junior High School, Abraham Lincoln High School and San Jose State University.

Dr. Yamasaki received his dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School and upon graduating opened his practice in San Jose.

Dr. Yamasaki is a member of the American Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.  He is the past chairman of the Santa Clara County Dental Society's Peer Review Committee and has served on the committee for over ten years.

The Bay Area Consumers Report has rated Dr. Yamasaki as one of the top dentists in Santa Clara County.

Dr. Yamasaki is married and has two adult sons.  He also loves to travel, dine and grow orchids.
